Votive

Choreography · Mimi Yoshii after M. Petipa

A restaging of The Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère, shaped through Japanese spiritual aesthetics. Votive imagines an afterlife for dancers who devoted themselves to dance, where discipline, memory and ritual continue beyond the body.
